Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
Normal School Day
Students who are not attending a before-school program should arrive at school between 8:50 and 9:00 a.m.
9:05 a.m. - Attendance is taken and teachers take lunch count
3:35 p.m. - Students are dismissed
**Please refer to the Student Handbook for specific information regarding drop off locations and procedures.
At 9:05 a.m., a “late bell” will ring. If students arrive after this time, they should come to the main entrance/Door 1 and ring the doorbell.
Dismissal (3:35 p.m.)
Students taking the bus will head over to the east basketball court. A staff member will meet K-2 students and take them over to the basketball court area. Another staff member will ensure that 3rd-5th grade students make their way to the basketball court area. If the buses are running on the later side, there will be some time to play outside. If the buses are running on time, students will head to their buses and get checked in. When the weather is very inclement, students will wait for the bus inside.
All K-2 students who WALK, BIKE or ride in a CAR should be met by their grown-up at the designated star spot used for morning line up. Teachers will dismiss students to their designated pickup person.
Students in grades 3-5 who WALK, BIKE or ride in a CAR will be brought outside by their teacher and dismissed according to their parent/caregiver-designated dismissal arrangements. Each teacher will reach out to parents/caregivers at the beginning of the year to find out what these arrangements are for each student.
If you are picking up your student in a car…
You can park in any available spots in the Lincolnwood parking lot up until 3:25 p.m. If no spots are available or the lot entry is blocked by cones, please park on the street.
Please do not double park, idle, park in the fire lane of the parking lot, honk horns, or leave your car unattended and running.
EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS
12:05 p.m. - Students are dismissed.
