Code It! Challenge for 5th-8th graders
All 5th-8th graders are invited to design & code an 8-bit style video game in Evanston's Code It! Challenge. No experience? No worries: Tutorials and help are available so that anyone can participate.
The rules are simple: Design a video game using MakeCode Arcade, include at least 10 core game elements, and submit it by April 6. You can complete this challenge in an afternoon, but the more game elements you include and the more you participate, the better your chances of winning the best prizes. All entrants earn the right to display their games for everyone to play at the Citywide Showcase on April 12. See details on the District 65 calendar.
